About SETS
Although South East Training Solutions is a newly established
consultancy it draws on a wealth of knowledge and expertise gained through
hands-on experience in HR and project management. SETS's founder Sue Seakens
has been involved in training and development since 1975, working in partnership
with a wide range of organisations particularly those from the health, fitness
and leisure industries. During her time as Training Director at Shaw College
International she developed and promoted the ethos of participative training
and coaching with organisations from over 50 countries world-wide. Her client
group included a number of major international firms such as Kuoni Travel,
Marks & Spencer, Gleneagles Spa, Expansion Biologique Francais, Deutsche
Nemectron GmbH and Takara Belmont.
With her background in psychology and person-centred counselling Sue has pursued a keen interest in personal development, stress management and the dynamics of relationships and for some time had her own private practice at 10 Harley Street. More recently Sue has been working increasingly with the not-for-profit sector in developing community-based learning solutions in London and the South East. This work has included partnership development, project management and community capacity building for organisations such as Westminster MIND, Hounslow Bereavement Service, Ealing Hammersmith & Hounslow Health Authority, London Borough of Hounslow, East Berkshire MIND, Berkshire Patient Advice Liaison Service (PALS), University of Reading, Community Legal Service and the unitary authorities and primary care trusts in Berkshire.
During the past 10 years Sue has developed a unique network of specialist consultants from similar and complementary disciplines primarily in the fields of regeneration, service delivery and management development. It is through this network that SETS is able to provide such a comprehensive range of training and development solutions across the South East.
